This policy describes the data we collect when you use YouMakeIt (the “Service”), how we use it, and the rights available to you.
2. Data We Collect
Account Data
- Email address, account identifier.
- If you sign in via Google: name, email address, and identifier provided by Google (we do not receive your Google password).
- First name, last name, and country, if you provide them in your profile.
Usage Data
- Content you submit: text to be voiced, audio/video files to transcribe, voice samples, requests sent to the writing tools.
- Generated audio files, produced transcriptions.
- Generation log (date, length, credits consumed), credit balance.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, timestamp, pages viewed.
Payment Data
- We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, acting as Merchant of Record. We only receive information related to the transaction (status, plan subscribed, order identifier).

4. Subprocessors and Recipients
We rely on providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and database (accounts, credits, metadata).
- Hetzner — hosting of our application server.
- RunPod — execution of AI models (speech synthesis, transcription).
- OpenRouter — access to language models for the writing tools.
- Vercel — hosting of the website and web application.
- Resend — sending of transactional emails.
- Dodo Payments — payment processing (Merchant of Record).
- Google — sign-in via Google account, and public YouTube API data when you explore a channel.
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising purposes.
5. Your Content and Model Training
- Your cloned voices are private. They are not shared with third parties.
- We do not use your content (text, audio files, cloned voices) to train artificial intelligence models, whether ours or third parties'.
- Your content is processed solely to provide you with the requested output.
6. Retention Period
- Account data: retained for as long as your account is active.
- Files uploaded for transcription: deleted after processing.
- Generated audio files: temporarily retained to let you download them, then deleted.
- Cloned voices: retained until you delete them, or until your account is closed.
- Technical logs and billing data: retained for as long as necessary to comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
When your account is closed, your personal data is deleted or anonymized, subject to legal retention obligations.
7. International Transfers
Our providers may be located outside Benin, in particular in the European Union and the United States. These transfers take place under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
8. Your Rights
Depending on the applicable regulations (in particular the GDPR if you reside in the European Economic Area), you have the following rights:
- Access to your personal data;
- Rectification of inaccurate data;
- Erasure of your data;
- Restriction of processing;
- Portability of your data;
- Objection to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- Withdrawal of your consent, where processing is based on it.
To exercise these rights: support@youmakeit.io. We respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures: encryption of communications (HTTPS), token-based authentication, restricted access to data, environment isolation. As no system is infallible, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and local storage strictly necessary for the operation of the Service: maintaining your session, language preference, theme preference. We do not use advertising cookies.
11. Minors
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data about them.
12. Changes
We may modify this policy. Material changes will be notified to you. The last update date appears at the top of this document.
